Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement:

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the rental and use of the event studio space (the "Studio") located at Cordage Park and operated by Chantilly LLC ("Chantilly," “Chantilly Studios,” "we," "us," or "our"). By booking and using the Studio, the renting party ("Member,” “Renter," "you," or "your") agrees to be bound by these Terms.
 

2. Permitted Use:

The Studio may be used for photography, bridal events, and small use events, subject to the restrictions outlined in these Terms.
 

3. Prohibited Use:

The following activities are strictly prohibited within the Studio and on the surrounding premises:

  • Illegal Activities: Any activity that violates federal, state, or local laws, including but not limited to the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This includes, but is not limited to, the production, distribution, or consumption of illegal drugs, gambling, prostitution, and any form of illegal activity.

  • Harmful Activities: Any activity that is considered harmful to the safety and well-being of individuals, including but not limited to:

    • The production, distribution, or display of pornographic or sexually explicit material.

    • Activities involving dangerous or hazardous materials.

    • Activities that create excessive noise or disturbances that disrupt other tenants or businesses within Cordage Park.

    • Activities that pose a fire hazard or violate fire safety regulations.

  • Subleasing: Members may not sublease or assign their rental agreement to any other party without the express written consent of Chantilly LLC.
     

4. Insurance Requirements:

All Members must maintain an active Certificate of Insurance (COI) for the duration of their rental period. The COI must provide general liability coverage with a minimum limit of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. The COI must name Chantilly LLC and Cordage Park as additional insureds. A copy of the COI must be provided to Chantilly LLC prior to the commencement of the rental period. Failure to provide proof of insurance may result in the cancellation of the rental without refund.
 

5. Liability Waiver and Indemnification:

  • Waiver: Member hereby waives and releases Chantilly LLC and Cordage Park, their officers, employees, and agents, from any and all liability for any injury, loss, or damage to Member, Member's clients, or their respective personal or professional equipment while on the Studio premises.

  • Indemnification: Member agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Chantilly LLC and Cordage Park, their officers, employees, and agents, from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising out1 of or related to Member's use of the Studio, including but not limited to any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property.
     

6. Rental Fees and Payment:

Rental fees are due and payable according to the terms outlined in the rental agreement or invoice. Online purchases by Member are due at time of booking. Custom bookings sent to Members shall be reserved for 48 hours to allow for payment, after which the booking shall be released to all Members if payment is not received within 48 hours after the custom booking link is sent to Member. 
 

7. Cancellation Policy:

All bookings are considered final. Reasonable accommodation will be provided to reschedule bookings to alternative dates and times, where no existing bookings exist. No refunds for Member cancellation will be provided, unless at the discretion of Chantilly LLC. 
 

8. Cleanliness and Damages:

Member is responsible for leaving the Studio in the same condition it was in upon arrival. Member will be responsible for any damages to the Studio or equipment beyond normal wear and tear. Please use common sense and help keep this beautiful facilitiy clean for future use.

Exceptions to Member Cleanup include bridal and catered event rentals, which have 3rd party cleaning fees included in the booking, and 3rd party cleanings are coordinated as part of the responsibilities of Chantilly LLC.

Member Cleanup: All Members are expected to:

 

8A.  Pickup and remove all Member equipment, furniture, or accessories brought into the studio.
8B.  Cleanup and dispose of all food, beverages, and trash.
8C.  Clean excessive floor markings, food, and liquids with provided cleaning supplies (vacuum, paper towels, cleaning agents, and magic erasers for floor marking). 
8D.  Ensure all doors are locked upon exit. 

 

Issues that cannot be addressed by Member or with the provided cleaning supplies shall be reported to Chantilly LLC in a timely manner to allow staff to coordinate professional cleaning or other services to mitigate. 

Excessive trash and recycling that cannot be fit into Studio-provided trash receptacles can be placed in Cordage Park trash and recycling locations (reference Member portal for instructions).

Exceptions to this include bridal and catered event rentals which have 3rd party cleaning fees included in booking, and 3rd party cleanings are coordinated as part of the responsibilities of Chantilly LLC.

Failure to meet these requirements may result in additional cleaning fees, and/or removal from Studio membership, regardless of future bookings and payments. 
 

9. Conduct:

Member and their guests are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully while on the Studio premises.
 

10. Termination:

Chantilly LLC reserves the right to terminate any rental agreement immediately and without refund for any violation of these Terms.
 

11. Governing Law:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
 

12. Entire Agreement:

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Chantilly LLC and Member regarding the rental and use of the Studio and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
 

13. Amendments:

Chantilly LLC reserves the right to amend these Terms without notice. The most current version of the Terms will be posted on [website address, if applicable]. Continued use of the Studio following any amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
